Range Rover L322 TD6 crankcase breather vortex kit
This Febi crankcase breather vortex kit is for Range Rover L322 TD6 3.0 models fitted with the BMW M57 diesel engine. The crankcase breather separates oil mist from the engine’s crankcase ventilation gases before they are drawn back into the intake system.
The earlier LLJ500010 filter-style breather uses a replaceable fibre filter element. Over time, that filter can become saturated, clogged or restricted. A blocked breather can increase crankcase pressure and oil carry-over, which may contribute to smoke, oil leaks, oil contamination in the intake pipework and unnecessary strain on the turbocharger.
This vortex-style breather replaces the older filter arrangement with a later-style oil separator design. It is a good choice when servicing the breather system on an L322 TD6, especially if the existing filter element is old, contaminated or has not been changed for a long time.
This kit is an upgrade for LLJ500010 and is also used on other BMW M47 / M57 applications where the same crankcase breather arrangement is fitted. For non-L322 use, match the existing breather housing and part number before ordering.
