Land Rover Series III Parts
Series III parts for axle and hub rebuilds, clutch and brake hydraulics, door and window repairs, cooling, fuel filtration, engine work and suspension hardware.
Start with the original part number, then check the production date, engine, axle position and left-hand or right-hand fitment where required. Many Series III parts are shared with Series II/IIA or early 90/110 models, but build-date and hardware splits still matter.

Find the right Series III parts
Series III repairs in this section cover several different systems. Start with the job being carried out, then use the part number and vehicle details to narrow the product grid.
| Job | Best place to start | Check before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Rebuild a front or rear wheel hub | RTC3534 wheel bearing kit or RTC3534G NTN and Corteco wheel bearing kit | Both kits fit Series III vehicles up to June 1980; later hubs use a different wheel bearing kit |
| Seal the differential or wheel hub | 7316 Rover differential gasket, RTC3511G hub seal and FRC4377 drive flange cap | Check Rover axle fitment, front or rear position and the original sealing arrangement |
| Repair brake or clutch hydraulics | RTC3386 brake and clutch hose or 591231T TRW clutch slave cylinder | Confirm whether the hose is being used in the brake or clutch system and check the engine fitment for the slave cylinder |
| Replace door or window hardware | 347322 front window catch and Series II/III locking door handles | Check left-hand, right-hand or rear-door position before ordering |
| Replace a cooling-system pressure cap | STC4735 radiator or expansion tank cap | Match the earlier metal pressure-cap arrangement rather than the later plastic expansion tank cap |
| Service the diesel fuel system | 90517711 Delphi diesel fuel filter | Confirm diesel-engine fitment and the filter reference already fitted |
| Replace the horn | YEB10027 low-note horn | This is the 335Hz low-note horn; check whether the vehicle uses one horn or a matched high- and low-note pair |
| Repair leaf-spring mounting hardware | 537686 shackle plate | Match the plate to the spring and shackle position being repaired |
Check Series III fitment before ordering
Series III parts frequently overlap earlier Series vehicles and the first coil-sprung 90/110 models. Shared fitment does not make every part universal, so use the vehicle details and part number together.
Some axle and hub components split during Series III production. The RTC3534 wheel bearing kits in this section are for vehicles up to June 1980.
Check petrol or diesel fitment and the exact engine where the product is tied to the fuel, clutch or internal engine system.
Door handles split left-hand, right-hand and rear, while axle and hub parts may fit the front, rear or both positions.
Use the original reference wherever possible, particularly when a Series III part is shared with Series II/IIA, 90/110 or Defender models.
Series III wheel bearings and axle parts
The RTC3534 and RTC3534G kits rebuild one front or rear hub on Series III vehicles up to June 1980. RTC3534G is the quality-led kit built around NTN tapered roller bearings and a Corteco hub oil seal, while RTC3534 provides the standard replacement kit for the same early fitment.
Axle and hub work may also require the drive flange gasket, hub seal, drive flange cap, differential gasket and fresh locking parts. Check the contents of the selected wheel bearing kit before ordering those components separately.
Series III body and hydraulic parts
Door handles, window catches, brake hoses and clutch components must be selected by their exact position and system. The right-hand locking handle also fits the rear-door position stated on its product page, while the left-hand handle is supplied separately.
The TRW clutch slave cylinder fits selected Series III petrol clutch systems rather than every Series III engine. RTC3386 has broader Series brake-hose use and is also used as a clutch hose on the stated earlier models.
