Defender 200TDI / 300TDI bonnet release cable
ALR9556 is a replacement bonnet release cable for Defender 200TDI and 300TDI models, VIN MA965840 to TA977536. It runs from the interior bonnet release handle to the bonnet release mechanism, allowing the bonnet to be opened from inside the vehicle.
Bonnet release cables can stretch, seize, fray or break with age. If the bonnet release handle has gone loose, needs excessive force, or no longer opens the bonnet cleanly, the cable is one of the first parts to check.
