Description
Ravenol DOT 4 LV is a low-viscosity brake and clutch fluid supplied in a 1L bottle for Land Rover hydraulic systems requiring DOT 4, DOT 4 LV or ISO 4925 Class 6 fluid. Its 675 cSt viscosity at -40 °C is particularly relevant to ABS, traction-control and stability-control valve blocks, while the 267 °C boiling point and 172 °C wet equilibrium reflux boiling point give it a strong specification for routine fluid replacement and complete system changes.
Why Use DOT 4 LV Brake Fluid?
The LV designation identifies a lower-viscosity DOT 4 formulation meeting ISO 4925 Class 6. The fluid moves readily through the small channels and control valves inside ABS and stability-control modulators, particularly during cold operation when conventional brake fluid becomes thicker. Ravenol DOT 4 LV is also suitable for compatible hydraulic clutch systems requiring the same fluid specification.

Fitment and Compatibility Notes
Use Ravenol DOT 4 LV where glycol-based DOT 4, DOT 4 LV or ISO 4925 Class 6 brake fluid is specified. It can be mixed with brake and clutch fluids meeting the same specifications, although a complete fluid change is recommended to obtain the full performance of fresh fluid.
Do not use in systems requiring mineral hydraulic fluid or silicone DOT 5 brake fluid. Brake fluid must be kept clean and dry, and any spillage on paintwork should be washed off immediately with plenty of water.
