Description
Old Defender door locks are a common source of rattles, poor latching and doors that need to be slammed to shut. Wear in the latch and internal springs can also let the door pop open on rough tracks – not ideal on a daily driver or overland truck.
Replacing the lock with a new unit is usually quicker and more reliable than trying to re-work a tired original mechanism.
