Heavy-duty Defender drop arm conversion kit for RHD 90, 110 and 130
This Defender drop arm conversion kit is for RHD Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 models with a 4-bolt power steering box, and also fits early 3-bolt power steering boxes. It converts the original swan-neck drop arm arrangement to a straight drop arm setup using a Discovery-style drop arm.
The original Defender swan-neck drop arm uses a press-in ball joint, which can be awkward to service and is not as straightforward as a normal track rod end. This conversion replaces that setup with heavy-duty SUMOBARS steering bars and greaseable Delphi track rod ends, giving a stronger and more serviceable steering arrangement.
The kit includes SUMOBARS EN8-grade solid steel steering bars, greaseable Delphi track rod ends, a Discovery-style straight drop arm and the required steering damper mount. Full-size lock nuts are supplied rather than half nuts, helping give a more secure steering bar setup.
Check your steering box before ordering. This kit is for RHD vehicles with a 4-bolt PAS box or early 3-bolt PAS box. It will not fit manual steering or 6-bolt power steering boxes. Wheel alignment is required after installation, and the steering damper should be set correctly with the wheels straight ahead.

Buy with confidence: all new parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 include at least 12 months manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
