Description
Complete later non-ABS swivel housing kit for one side of a Discovery 1 or Range Rover Classic front axle. DA3165G includes a new swivel housing and ball together with OE-quality bearings and seals, the upper swivel pin, seal retaining plate, gaskets, preload shims, joint washers and swivel housing grease. GA3165G is the equivalent kit reference.
The main swivel seal runs against the polished surface of the swivel ball. Once this surface becomes pitted, rusty or badly scored, another seal will not have a clean face to run against. Replacing the housing and ball together with the bearings and sealing parts provides the complete rebuild needed where the original swivel assembly is no longer serviceable.

Fitment Notes
Confirm that the front axle is non-ABS and uses the later swivel housing arrangement before ordering. Complete axles and swivel assemblies may have been changed during the life of either vehicle, so the axle currently fitted is more important than registration year alone.
