Garrett turbocharger for Defender 2.4 TDCI Puma
This Garrett replacement turbocharger (LR018396G) fits Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDCI Puma models. It is supplied brand new, not remanufactured, and no exchange unit is required.
A worn or failing turbocharger can cause poor boost, excessive smoke, abnormal noise, oil leakage, sticking variable vanes or actuator-related faults. If the original turbo is beyond repair or no longer worth rebuilding, a brand new Garrett replacement is the cleaner repair route.
This is a complete replacement turbocharger and includes the electronic wastegate modulator. LR018396 supersedes LR021013, LR008203, LR010138 and LR018497, helping confirm the correct turbocharger for Defender 2.4 Puma applications.
When fitting, check the oil feed, oil return, boost hoses, intercooler hoses, air intake pipework and exhaust connections. Turbocharger failures can be caused or worsened by oil supply issues, contamination or faults elsewhere in the intake and boost system, so these should be checked before installation.
