Windscreen washer pump (DMC100550) for Defender from VIN XA159807, later Defender TD5 and Puma/TDCI, Discovery 2 and Freelander 1. A failed pump can leave the wipers working but the washer jets dead, weak or intermittent, especially on vehicles that have been stood or run with poor screenwash mix.

This windscreen washer pump (DMC100550) fits the main washer system on Defender, Discovery 2 and Freelander 1 models using this part number. Washer pumps often fail after being run dry, sitting unused or being fed with poor screenwash mix, leaving the washer jets weak, intermittent or completely dead while the wiper motor still works normally.
