Description
Garrett OEM turbocharger (LR018396G) for Defender 2.4 TDCI Puma engines, supplied brand new as a complete variable-geometry assembly with the electronic actuator already fitted. Garrett supplied the original equipment turbocharger for this engine, making this the correct quality replacement for a worn or failed factory unit. No exchange surcharge applies and the old turbocharger does not need to be returned.
Loss of boost, excessive smoke, oil leakage, unusual turbo noise, sticking variable vanes and actuator faults can all point to a worn or failing turbocharger. Where the original unit is beyond repair, replacing the complete assembly avoids reusing a worn actuator or variable-vane mechanism. The cause of the original failure should be identified and the oil feed, oil return and intake and boost pipework checked before the new turbocharger is fitted.

Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
