Description
This Continental VDO Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine so the ECU can calculate correct fuelling and boost control. When a MAF sensor drifts out of spec, the engine can feel flat, hesitant or inconsistent, and it may trigger fault codes relating to air flow or fuelling.

Fitting notes and checks
MAF faults can be confused with intake air leaks or a restricted air filter. Before fitting, check the air filter condition and intake trunking/hoses for splits or loose joints. After replacement, some vehicles benefit from a short drive cycle to allow the ECU to re-learn airflow values.
