Terrafirma steering damper for Defender 90, 110 and 130
The Terrafirma TF832 steering damper fits Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 models using the pin/eye damper arrangement. It is designed to replace the standard Defender steering damper with an uprated big bore twin tube damper for better steering control on rough roads, tracks and off-road use.
A steering damper helps control sudden movement through the steering system. On a Defender, this can help reduce steering kickback, shimmy and harsh feedback through the wheel, especially where the vehicle is used on uneven ground, rutted lanes, larger tyres or harder-working conditions.
Terrafirma list the TF832 damper with a 35mm internal bore and piston, 54mm big bore twin tube design, 16mm double chromed shaft and 50/50 damping. It uses the traditional Terrafirma silver body with blue dust shield.
This is the Defender version. Discovery 2 uses a different Terrafirma steering damper, so do not use TF832 for Discovery 2 fitment.
