Raised Breather Kit for Defender and Discovery 2
This raised breather kit is for Land Rover Defender 1986–2006 and Discovery 2 1998–2004 models. It is used to extend the axle, gearbox and transfer box breathers higher on the vehicle as part of a wading or off-road preparation setup.
When axles and transmissions heat up during use and then cool quickly after entering water, they can draw air back through the breather system. If the breather outlets are too low, water can be drawn in and contaminate the oil.
Why fit raised breathers?
Raised breathers help move the breather outlets to a higher, safer position on the vehicle. This gives better protection when driving through water, working in wet conditions or using your Land Rover off road.
This kit is a useful upgrade if your vehicle is used for green-laning, wading, farm work, site work or general off-road use where water and mud are regularly encountered.

Fitting note
Before fitting, check the breather layout on your vehicle and route the breather pipes carefully to a high, protected position. Breathers should be secured away from heat, moving parts and areas where they may be pinched, damaged or blocked.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.
