Starter solenoid for Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models fitted with 200TDI, 300TDI and 2.5 diesel NA/turbo engines. This is the STC1245 solenoid for Bosch starter motor applications shown in the fitment guide.
- Fits Defender 90 / 110 / 130 with 200TDI, 300TDI or 2.5 diesel engines
- Fits Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic with 200TDI or 300TDI engines

Description
Starter solenoid replacement for 200TDI, 300TDI and 2.5 diesel Land Rovers
This starter solenoid fits Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models using STC1245. The live fitment guide covers Defender 2.5 diesel NA, 2.5 turbo diesel, 200TDI and 300TDI engines, plus Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic 200TDI / 300TDI applications.
A failing starter solenoid can cause clicking from the starter, intermittent cranking, poor starter engagement or complete failure to crank. If the starter motor itself is otherwise serviceable, replacing the solenoid can be a practical repair.
