Defender non-ABS upper swivel pin kit (TAR100040G) for rebuilding the top pivot of one front swivel housing. The kit combines the upper swivel pin, a genuine TIMKEN bearing, preload shims and the sealing O-ring. The upper pin and bearing support the top of the swivel housing and allow it to turn smoothly; wear here can leave play or roughness in the assembly and prevent the swivel preload being set correctly.
Most complete swivel kits are supplied with NTN or similar bearings. TAR100040G is the TIMKEN-bearing version, keeping the bearing specification clear rather than leaving the brand to whatever has been packed into a general swivel kit.

Timken Bearings
Timken bearings for Land Rover wheel, hub, axle and drivetrain repairs, from one of the best-established names in bearing manufacture.
Timken is particularly well known for tapered roller bearings, alongside a broader range of ball and roller bearing designs. Check the individual product page for vehicle fitment, bearing position and part-number details before ordering.
More than 125 years of bearing experience
Timken was founded in the United States in 1899 following Henry Timken’s development of the tapered roller bearing. The company has since grown into an international bearing and motion-technology manufacturer, while bearing engineering remains central to the Timken name.
Its bearing portfolio now covers tapered, cylindrical, spherical, thrust and ball bearing designs for automotive, industrial and other heavily loaded mechanical systems.
Why Twinwoods stocks Timken bearings
Bearings are not parts where saving a small amount is worthwhile if it means repeating the job. Accurate dimensions, consistent manufacture and the correct bearing design all matter when the component is carrying vehicle weight, controlling shaft movement or operating continuously under load.
Twinwoods 4x4 stocks Timken where we want a quality bearing from an established bearing specialist. The range can support wheel, hub, swivel, axle, engine auxiliary and drivetrain repairs without limiting this brand page to the products currently shown in the grid.
Match the bearing to the Land Rover
Bearings that appear similar can differ in dimensions, internal design, supplied races and intended position. Match the product to the Land Rover part number, vehicle, axle or component position and any fitment notes shown on the individual product page.

Twinwoods 4x4 ships Land Rover parts across the UK and around the world. We regularly send parts overseas and use trusted tracked courier services so UK and international customers can order with confidence.
Standard UK shipments are normally sent with DPD. UK orders containing oils or fluids are normally sent with DHL where required, because some carriers restrict liquid shipments.
Worldwide delivery is available through DPD and DHL Express, depending on the destination, parcel size, weight and available courier services. Add the parts you need to your basket, enter your delivery address, and the checkout will show the available delivery options and prices before payment.

Returns – quick FAQs
How long do I have to return an item?
Who pays return carriage?
What condition must a change-of-mind return be in?
Fitting, attempted fitting, contamination, damage, missing packaging or excessive handling can substantially reduce the value of the goods and may result in a corresponding reduction to your refund.
Can I fit a part and then return it?
Once a part has been fitted or an attempt has been made to fit it, it may be marked, contaminated, damaged or otherwise unsuitable for resale as a new part. We do not operate a used-parts or bargain-bin section, so a fitted or damaged part can have very little resale value.
Where your handling has reduced the value of the goods beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them, your refund may be reduced to reflect that loss in value.
What if the item is faulty?
Are any items excluded from change-of-mind returns?
How do I start a return?
Please include your order number and a brief reason for the return. Do not send anything back until you have received the appropriate return instructions.
Buy with confidence: all new parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 include at least 12 months manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
This warranty is in addition to your legal rights and does not reduce those rights.
