Description

Discovery 2 433 MHz remote key receiver replacement

The 433 MHz remote key receiver takes the signal from the Discovery 2 key fob and sends it to the BCU for central locking and alarm operation. A failing receiver can cause poor remote range, intermittent locking or unlocking, no response from the remote key fob, or unreliable alarm operation.

The receiver sits behind the rear headlining area, where moisture can become a problem on Discovery 2 vehicles. If the original receiver has failed because of water ingress, deal with the leak and dry the area before fitting the replacement unit. Continued moisture, poor connections or an underlying electrical fault can damage the new receiver.

If the vehicle is locked or immobilised because the remote receiver or key has failed, see our Discovery 2 EKA code guide for the emergency key access procedure.

Warranty

All parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Some products and brands may carry a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.

Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
