Lucas indicator / horn / headlamp dip switch (STC439G) for Land Rover Defender models from VIN HA455946 to VA104805. This is the later pre-Td5 Defender column switch and is commonly the correct switch for 300TDI-era vehicles in this VIN range.

Defender indicator, horn and headlamp dip switch STC439G
This Lucas column switch fits Land Rover Defender models from VIN HA455946 to VA104805. It controls the indicators, horn and headlamp dip/main beam functions from the steering column stalk.
Defender column switch fitment is split by VIN. PRC3875G fits early vehicles to VIN GA455945. STC439G follows from VIN HA455946 to VA104805. Later vehicles move into AMR6105 / XPB101290 switchgear, with XPB101290 superseding AMR6105.
The common mistake is assuming there is only one pre-Td5 Defender indicator switch. PRC3875G and STC439G can look very similar at the connector, so the VIN range or original part number is the safer way to choose between them. Many 300TDI-era Defenders fall into the STC439G range.
Replace the switch where indicator operation, horn operation, headlamp dip/main beam switching or stalk feel has become unreliable.
