Defender Td5 power steering pump replacement
This QVB101350 power steering pump is a direct replacement PAS pump for Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 Td5 models. It is designed to replace the original pump where the steering assistance has become weak, noisy or inconsistent.
A worn Defender Td5 power steering pump can cause heavy steering at low speed, groaning or whining when turning, fluid leaks from the pump body or shaft seal, or aerated fluid in the reservoir. Vehicles used for towing, off-road work or larger tyres can put extra load through the steering system, so pump wear is common as these vehicles age.
The pump is supplied as shown and is intended to be fitted using your existing pulley and brackets. When replacing the pump, check the condition of the power steering pipes, fluid reservoir and steering box at the same time, especially if the system has been noisy, leaking or contaminated.
