Defender Td5 and Puma TDCI replacement intercooler
This Nissens intercooler fits Land Rover Defender Td5, Defender Puma 2.4 TDCI and Defender Puma 2.2 TDCI models. It is the standard OE-spec replacement intercooler for vehicles that need the original intercooler replacing rather than a larger performance upgrade.
A damaged, leaking or restricted intercooler can reduce boost efficiency and affect how the engine performs under load. Common reasons for replacement include oil mist around the intercooler, corroded or damaged fins, boost leaks, whistling under load, reduced power or excessive smoke under acceleration.
Check the intercooler hoses, clamps and surrounding fittings when replacing the intercooler, especially on older Td5 and Puma Defenders where hose condition can also affect boost performance.
