Discovery 2 rear brake pads for solid rear disc applications
These Delphi rear brake pads fit Land Rover Discovery 2 rear brake applications using pad set SFP500130. They are suitable for Td5 and V8 Discovery 2 models with standard solid rear brake discs, and are supplied as a complete pad set for both rear wheels.
Replace the rear pads when the friction material is low, braking feel has changed, the pads are wearing unevenly, or the rear brakes are already apart for disc, caliper, hose or slider work. On a Discovery 2 used for towing or carrying loads, good rear brake condition is important for stable, predictable braking.
Before fitting new pads, check the rear discs, caliper sliders, pad hardware and flexible brake hoses. If the caliper sliders are corroded or sticking, use the Discovery 2 rear caliper slider pin kit STC1910. If calipers or carriers are being removed, fresh brake caliper bolts FTC3375 / FTC1967 / SYP500090 are also worth fitting.
