Mahle KC80 fuel filter for Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5
This Mahle KC80 fuel filter fits Td5 engines in Defender and Discovery 2 models. It replaces Land Rover part number ESR4686 and is one of the key service filters used during routine Td5 maintenance.
A restricted or overdue fuel filter can reduce fuel flow and contribute to poor starting, hesitation, loss of power under load or fuel starvation symptoms. Replacing the filter helps protect the Td5 fuel system from dirt and contamination.
The Td5 fuel filter is mounted underneath the vehicle, so older filters can be tight or awkward to remove. Check that the old sealing ring has not stayed on the filter housing before fitting the new filter. If your vehicle has a water-in-fuel sensor fitted, transfer it to the new filter before installation.
