Heavy duty steering rods for early Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic
This TF251 Terrafirma heavy duty steering rod kit fits early Land Rover Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models using the 3 track rod end steering setup. It replaces the standard drag link and track rod with stronger solid steel steering bars, giving better resistance to bending on off-road, greenlane and hard-used vehicles.
Standard steering rods sit low at the front of the vehicle and are easily damaged by ruts, rocks, stumps and uneven ground. Even a slightly bent steering rod can affect tracking, steering feel and tyre wear, so uprated rods are a useful upgrade if the vehicle is used away from normal roads.
The TF251 kit uses solid 30mm diameter steel rods with machined left and right hand threads, locking nuts, greaseable track rod ends and a steering damper bracket. It is designed to fit the original steering mounting points while giving a stronger steering linkage than the standard thin factory rods.
Please check your existing steering setup before ordering. This is the early type kit with 3 track rod ends. Later applications use a different 4 track rod end setup, so match the kit to the vehicle before fitting.

All parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.
Some products and brands may carry a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.
