A corroded TD5 fuel filter housing can leak fuel or draw air into the fuel system, especially around the exposed rear chassis mounting area. This WJN500150B billet fuel filter housing fits Defender TD5 and Discovery 2 TD5 models, using the standard TD5 fuel filter and supplied with four stainless steel hose fittings/adaptors.

Description
This replaces the original rear-mounted fuel filter head on Defender TD5 and Discovery 2 TD5 models. The standard cast housing lives in an exposed area on the rear chassis, subjected to road salt, dirt and spray, and can end up corroded, porous or generally rotten with age. That can cause fuel leaks or allow air into the fuel system.
The billet replacement is machined from aluminium, hard-anodised in black or grey depending on availability, and supplied with four stainless steel hose fittings/adaptors. It still uses the standard TD5 fuel filter, but the housing itself is a much better long-term replacement than fitting another cast housing that may be in the same state again in ten years.

What To Transfer or Replace
The non-return valve, air bleed valve and water-in-fuel sensor are not included. Transfer the non-return valve and air bleed valve from the original fuel filter housing where fitted and serviceable. On vehicles using a water-in-fuel sensor, the sensor transfers to the fuel filter itself rather than being supplied with the housing.
