Td5 fuel filter housing air bleed valve
This air bleed valve fits the Td5 fuel filter housing on Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 models. It helps release trapped air from the fuel system, allowing the filter housing to bleed correctly during normal operation.
A blocked, damaged or missing air bleed valve can contribute to poor fuel bleeding, hard starting, rough running or fuel delivery problems. If the vehicle is difficult to bleed after filter changes, or the valve/fitting has been damaged during work on the housing, replacing the valve is a sensible first step before replacing the complete housing.
The plastic Td5 fuel line fittings can be fragile, especially on older vehicles. Take care when removing the pipe from the valve. If the fuel line does not click securely back onto the new fitting, and the original brass fitting is still in good condition, it may be better to reuse the original brass fitting rather than forcing the connection.
