Description
Swivel housing retaining kit includes :
- 1 x UYG500040 Axle Dowel Bolt
- 6 x UYG500050 Axle Bolt (OEM)
- 7 x FRC8530SS A2 Stainless Steel Washers **
- 1 x Swivel Housing Gasket (OEM)
Two kits are required per axle. All bolts come with thread lock pre-applied. It is very common if you order the dowel bolt UYG500040 from many parts suppliers that you will in fact incorrectly receive UYG500050 (a normal bolt), it may even be incorrectly labelled on the blue bag. This means that there are now many vehicles with the incorrect bolts.
The dowel bolt helps set the correct castor and it also plays a part in shaft alignment.

** a total of 7 washers are included. You only need to use 5 of them IF you have the steering stop lock bracket (TAU100170) fitted, not all Defenders have them. Where a steering stop lock bracket is fitted the bolts going through this do not need washers.

All parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.
Some products and brands may carry a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.
