TD5 Auxiliary Drive Belt Tensioners
TD5 auxiliary drive belt tensioners for Defender and Discovery 2, from lower-priced branded replacement through Dayco premium, NTN/SNR OEM and Gates DriveAlign™. All replace ERR6951; the Genuine Land Rover tensioner is now discontinued.
The same tensioner fits the standard Defender TD5 and Discovery 2 TD5 auxiliary drive system. Air conditioning and ACE change the auxiliary belt length rather than the tensioner.

Check the auxiliary belt at the same time
A worn tensioner can cause belt squeal or chirping, pulley-bearing noise, poor belt tracking or excessive movement from the tensioner arm. Inspect the belt for cracking, glazing, contamination and damaged edges while it is removed.
