Continental, formerly Siemens VDO, have now ceased production of the popular Td5 mass airflow sensor.
It has been confirmed this week that Continental (formerly Siemens VDO) have discontinued their Td5 mass air flow sensor (part numbers MHK100620 / 5WK9607Z). We had heard that this might happen last year and anticipating this possibility we began exploring alternative options at the start of this year. While there is still a reasonable amount of VDO stock available in the market we have made the decision to transition to a new supplier now.
After carrying out testing across a range of Td5 vehicles (including 10P models) we will now be stocking Delphi Td5 mass air flow sensors. We evaluated several reputable brands, and Delphi stood out for its performance, quality, competitive pricing, and more reliable availability within our supply chain.
While VDO stock is available we will continue to offer this as an option. We anticipate that as stock reduces across the market there might be price inflations on the remaining stock. We would advise against over-paying "just for VDO".
We are confident this change will continue to deliver the performance and reliability you expect from our products.
