Defender and Discovery 2 Td5 MAF sensor replacement
The Td5 ECU relies on the MAF sensor to measure the air entering the engine. When the reading is wrong, fuelling and boost control suffer, so the engine can feel flat, smoky or hesitant even when the rest of the intake system is in good condition.
This Delphi MAF sensor is the one we recommend for a standard or remapped Td5. It uses a dual-element sensing strip and gives stable, believable airflow readings, including when checked with live data on diagnostic tools such as Nanocom or Hawkeye. That matters when you want to fix the fault properly, not just fit another sensor with the right part number on the box.
Common Td5 MAF sensor symptoms
A failing or inaccurate Td5 MAF sensor can cause hesitation, poor throttle response, lack of power above around 2,000rpm, excess smoke under load and poor fuel economy. These symptoms can have more than one cause, but the MAF is one of the main sensors to check when live airflow readings are low, erratic or do not rise cleanly with engine load.
Fitting and related Td5 sensor parts
This is a plug-in replacement and does not need programming. Before fitting, check the air filter, intake pipework and electrical connector so the new sensor is not affected by contamination, air leaks or a poor connection.

Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault.
