300TDI brake vacuum pump for Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic
This OE quality vacuum pump fits Land Rover 300TDI engines in Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models. It provides the vacuum supply for the brake servo, giving the braking system the assistance it needs in normal use.
Common reasons to replace the vacuum pump include a hard brake pedal, reduced brake servo assistance, oil leakage from the pump body or a noisy/worn pump. If the pump is no longer producing sufficient vacuum, the brakes can still work mechanically but will require much more pedal effort.
Check the gasket face and surrounding pipework when replacing the pump. If the gasket is not being supplied with the pump or the old gasket has been disturbed, use a fresh 300TDI vacuum pump gasket ERR2027.
