Defender wheel bearing kit for 300TDI, TD5 and later TDCI models, supplied with two TIMKEN® tapered roller bearings, a Corteco inner hub seal and the associated hub rebuild parts. One kit rebuilds one front or rear hub, with the same bearing and sealing components used for both adjustable and later spacer-type arrangements.

Description
Defender wheel bearing kit for rebuilding one front or rear hub on 300TDI, TD5 and later TDCI models from VIN LA930456 onwards. The kit combines two TIMKEN® RTC3429G / STC4382G tapered roller wheel bearings with a Corteco FTC4785G inner hub seal, locking washer, drive flange gasket and half shaft circlip. These components are used with both the conventional adjustable twin-nut arrangement and the later hub setup using a bearing spacer and single hub nut.

- 1 × FTC3179 wheel bearing lock washer
- 1 × 571752 drive flange gasket
- 1 × 549473 half shaft circlip
Adjustable and Spacer-Type Hub Arrangements
The bearing, seal, lock washer, drive flange gasket and circlip supplied in this kit are used with both hub arrangements. The difference is the hub nut setup.
Adjustable hubs use two FRC8700 hub lock nuts per hub. These nuts are normally reusable, so they are not included as standard with the bearing kit. Later spacer-type hubs use a single RFD100000 staked hub nut per hub.
Later spacer-equipped hubs can be easily converted to the conventional adjustable bearing arrangement. Removing the bearing spacer and using two FRC8700 hub nuts gives conventional manual wheel bearing adjustment without changing the bearings, seal or other parts supplied in this kit.

Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects.
