Ravenol SSF 1L is our preferred fluid for Discovery 2 Active Cornering Enhancement systems and the fully synthetic power steering fluid we use in Defenders and Discovery models without ACE. Excellent cold-flow performance, stable hydraulic operation and protection against wear, corrosion and foaming make it a quality-led upgrade for normal Land Rover power steering use as well as ACE servicing.

Description
Ravenol SSF 1L is a full-synthetic green hydraulic fluid for Discovery 2 Active Cornering Enhancement systems requiring STC50519. The ACE pump, valve block and hydraulic actuators depend on the correct fluid, and Ravenol SSF combines excellent low-temperature circulation with resistance to wear, corrosion and foaming. Twinwoods also uses SSF as a fully synthetic power steering fluid upgrade in Defenders and Discovery models without ACE.
Why We Recommend Ravenol SSF
Ravenol SSF is our preferred Discovery 2 ACE fluid, but its Land Rover use extends beyond ACE-equipped vehicles. We use it as a normal power steering fluid in Defenders and Discoverys where we want the cold-flow performance, temperature stability and protection of a fully synthetic hydraulic fluid.
The 1L bottle is the main pack for power steering servicing, reservoir top-ups and smaller ACE fluid requirements. Its pull-out pouring spout gives better control when filling a power steering or ACE reservoir and reduces the chance of spilling fluid around the engine bay.
