ERR7143 or ERR4576?
ERR7143 and ERR4576 are both used in the outer front timing cover seal position on 300TDI engines. The difference is best treated as a seal design / catalogue split rather than a completely different engine job.
Where the engine and timing cover are original, use the part number specified for the vehicle. Where the engine or timing cover history is uncertain, match the seal removed from the cover where possible. Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
