RHD Adwest 4-bolt steering box drop arm replacement
This replacement drop arm fits RHD Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models with the Adwest 4-bolt steering box. It replaces QFW000020 and STC1045, and is supplied with a stainless steel split pin.
The drop arm, also called the pitman arm, connects the steering box to the drag link. Wear in this area can contribute to steering play, vague steering response or wandering, especially where other steering linkage parts are already worn.
Check the steering box and linkage arrangement before ordering. This drop arm is for RHD Adwest 4-bolt steering box setups using three track rod ends. Some steering linkage setups use a different arrangement with four track rod ends, so confirm what is fitted to the vehicle before replacing parts.
If you are refreshing the steering linkage, see the polyurethane drop arm / track rod end boot. If the old arm is seized onto the steering box taper, the steering drop arm puller can make removal more controlled.
