Door Handle with Lock (RH & Rear) – Land Rover Series II / Series III 337801

This right-hand door handle and lock kit is a direct replacement for the original Land Rover handle used on Series II and Series III models. It is designed for the right-hand front door and is also used on the rear door on many vehicles. The kit includes the handle assembly, lock barrel and matching keys so you can restore smooth operation and secure locking in one go.

When to replace this handle

Common symptoms include a handle that is stiff, loose or difficult to operate, a key that will not turn reliably, or a lock that can be opened with more than one key. Corrosion around the mounting plate or a broken return spring are also good reasons to replace the complete assembly rather than trying to rebuild a tired original.

Fitting notes

Replace one handle at a time so you can refer to the opposite side or the original parts for linkage orientation. Lightly lubricate the latch and moving parts during reassembly. Once fitted, check that the door shuts cleanly, that both inside and outside handles operate the latch correctly and that the lock works smoothly with both keys. Re-adjust the striker if needed to achieve a positive close without slamming.
