Description

Genuine Land Rover clutch master cylinder for Defender and Series 3 clutch hydraulic systems, replacing STC500100 and earlier part numbers 550732, STC100410 and STC100411. A worn master cylinder can leak externally or bypass fluid internally, causing a low or soft clutch pedal, poor clutch disengagement or difficulty selecting gears. The Genuine Land Rover cylinder restores the standard clutch hydraulic setup with the factory Genuine replacement part.

Related Parts

When replacing the master cylinder, the small pushrod adjustment and locking nuts are often corroded, seized or damaged after years inside the pedal box. Our Defender clutch master cylinder pushrod nut kit replaces all three nuts with new stainless steel fixings.

Genuine Land Rover Parts

Genuine Land Rover parts for Defender, Discovery and Range Rover models, including TD5 engine components, seals, switches, cooling parts, body fittings, drivetrain components and original service parts.

Genuine parts are supplied under the Jaguar Land Rover parts programme and identified as Genuine Land Rover on the individual product page. Check the part number, vehicle fitment and any engine, model or early and late split before ordering.

Genuine Land Rover parts from Twinwoods 4x4

Genuine Land Rover parts remain the benchmark where exact original specification, fit or appearance matters. The range includes complete components alongside the small seals, clips, bolts, switches and fittings that can be difficult to match accurately with aftermarket parts.

Parts required Examples in this range Check before ordering
TD5 engine and fuel system parts Injector seals, filters, timing chain parts, sensors, fuel pressure regulators and engine sealing components Check the engine type, part number and any early or late TD5 fitment split
Cooling system parts Thermostats, coolant hoses, expansion tanks, bleed screws and sealing parts Check the vehicle, engine and original part number
Electrical parts and switches Window switches, brake light switches, horn switches, relays and lighting components Check the connector, vehicle model and part-number supersession
Body, trim and exterior fittings Badges, clips, seals, caps, lock parts, fasteners and model-specific trim Check model, position, side and colour where relevant
Axle and drivetrain parts Oil seals, drain plugs, CV spacers, gearbox fittings and related hardware Check axle position, transmission type and original part number

When Genuine Land Rover is worth buying

Genuine parts are particularly valuable where a component has an exact moulded shape, electrical specification, sealing profile, finish or fitment that is difficult to reproduce consistently. They are also often the best answer for obscure clips, fixings and small fittings where an almost-correct replacement can create more trouble than the saving is worth.

Check the part number Land Rover parts can look identical while using different dimensions, connectors or internal specifications.
Check the vehicle and engine Defender, Discovery and Range Rover models often use different parts despite sharing an engine or component description.
Check early and late fitment TD5 fuel, electrical and cooling components can change by engine generation, model year or original installation.
Check what is included Some genuine components are supplied individually, while seals, fixings or related parts may be sold separately.

Delivery

Twinwoods 4x4 ships Land Rover parts across the UK and around the world. We regularly send parts overseas and use trusted tracked courier services so UK and international customers can order with confidence.

Standard UK shipments are normally sent with DPD. UK orders containing oils or fluids are normally sent with DHL where required, because some carriers restrict liquid shipments.

Worldwide delivery is available through DPD and DHL Express, depending on the destination, parcel size, weight and available courier services. Add the parts you need to your basket, enter your delivery address, and the checkout will show the available delivery options and prices before payment.

Free mainland UK postage and packaging is available on eligible orders over £99, subject to our delivery terms and conditions.

Returns
14-day cancellation Return carriage at your cost Check fitment before ordering
Please choose carefully before ordering. Check part numbers, fitment and suitability before purchase. Please do not order parts simply to try them or on the assumption that they can be fitted and then returned if unsuitable.
  • Changed your mind? Tell us within 14 days of delivery. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
  • Return carriage and safe packing are your responsibility for change-of-mind returns.
  • Managed UK returns: where suitable, we can provide a cost-effective, hassle-free tracked return service with straightforward drop-off, proof of handover and tracking linked to your return. The cost will be advised before it is arranged and may be deducted from your refund.
  • Change-of-mind returns must be returned complete, in their original packaging and in resaleable condition. Returned goods must be the same goods supplied by us and complete with all components, accessories and any free or promotional items supplied with them.
  • Please do not fit or attempt to fit a part unless you intend to keep it. Fitting, attempted fitting, contamination, damage, missing packaging or excessive handling can substantially reduce the value of the goods and may result in a corresponding reduction to your refund.
  • Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described? Contact us first. We will advise the appropriate return method and will normally provide a prepaid return service or cover reasonable agreed return costs.
Returning it yourself? Please use a suitable return service with appropriate cover for the value of the goods, pack and address the parcel correctly, and retain sufficient evidence to identify and trace the return.

Returns – quick FAQs

How long do I have to return an item?
For a UK consumer change-of-mind cancellation, tell us within 14 days of receiving the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return them.
Who pays return carriage?
For change-of-mind returns, return carriage and safe packing are your responsibility. Where suitable, we can provide a managed tracked return service and advise the cost before it is arranged.
What condition must a change-of-mind return be in?
Change-of-mind returns must be complete, in their original packaging and in resaleable condition. Returned goods must be the same goods supplied by us and complete with all components, accessories and any free or promotional items supplied with them.

Fitting, attempted fitting, contamination, damage, missing packaging or excessive handling can substantially reduce the value of the goods and may result in a corresponding reduction to your refund.
Can I fit a part and then return it?
Please check fitment and suitability before installation. Please do not fit or attempt to fit a part unless you intend to keep it.

Once a part has been fitted or an attempt has been made to fit it, it may be marked, contaminated, damaged or otherwise unsuitable for resale as a new part. We do not operate a used-parts or bargain-bin section, so a fitted or damaged part can have very little resale value.

Where your handling has reduced the value of the goods beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them, your refund may be reduced to reflect that loss in value.
What if the item is faulty?
Contact us before returning it. Where a return is reasonably required for a faulty, damaged or incorrectly described item, we will normally provide a prepaid return service or cover reasonable return costs agreed with us.
Are any items excluded from change-of-mind returns?
Statutory exclusions apply to certain types of goods. Please see our full Terms & Conditions for details.
How do I start a return?

Please include your order number and a brief reason for the return. Do not send anything back until you have received the appropriate return instructions.

Warranty

Buy with confidence: all new parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 include at least 12 months manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.

Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.

Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.

Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.

This warranty is in addition to your legal rights and does not reduce those rights.

For full details, please see our Terms and Conditions.
