Front brake caliper carrier for Discovery 2 and Range Rover P38
This STC1917 front brake caliper carrier fits Land Rover Discovery 2 and Range Rover P38 front brake applications. It is supplied complete with slider pins and rubber boots, so it is a useful replacement when the original carrier is no longer worth reusing.
Caliper carriers can suffer from seized slider pins, corrosion around the brake pad seats or general wear where the pads locate. If the carrier is badly corroded or the sliders are not moving freely, new pads and discs may not sit or release correctly.
Check the existing caliper carrier and front brake setup before ordering. If the caliper mounting bolts are corroded, damaged or have been removed several times, it is sensible to fit fresh FTC2996 front brake caliper bolts at the same time.
For slider pins and pad contact areas, use a suitable non-metallic brake lubricant such as CeraTec brake grease. For related parts, see our Discovery 2 front brake parts.
