Defender and Discovery 1 front brake pad fitting kit for solid discs
This STC8576-RTC5001 front brake pad fitting kit is for Land Rover Defender and Discovery 1 models using the solid front brake disc caliper setup. It combines the RTC5001 pad retaining pins with the STC8576 springs and split pins, giving you the small hardware normally replaced during a front brake pad change.
Brake pad retaining pins and springs are often corroded, bent, seized or weakened by the time the pads need replacing. Fitting fresh hardware helps the pads sit correctly in the caliper and avoids reusing tired old pins or springs during a brake service.
This kit is for the solid front disc setup only. Defender and Discovery 1 models with vented front discs use a different front brake pad fitting kit, so check the discs and calipers fitted to the vehicle before ordering.

Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
