Description

Defender late Td5 and early Puma SuperPro bush kit

This SuperPro bush kit is for late Defender Td5 and early Defender Puma / TDCI models. It is a standard-alignment kit, covering the main suspension arm and panhard rod bushes rather than a castor-correction kit.

This is the intermediate Defender kit: it uses the later M16 front panhard rod bush arrangement, but retains the earlier 3/4 UNF upper A-frame bush arrangement. Late Defender Puma models from VIN / chassis number 9A766383 onwards use the later KIT0043DK kit instead.

Use this kit where you want to refresh the main suspension bushes with SuperPro polyurethane components while keeping the standard suspension geometry. If the vehicle is close to the Td5 / Puma changeover or the later Puma chassis break, confirm the front panhard rod bolt size and upper A-frame bush arrangement before ordering.

The kit covers the suspension arm and panhard rod positions listed below. Shock absorber bushes and anti-roll bar bushes are separate.

Position SuperPro kit reference Equivalent Land Rover reference
Front panhard rod bushes, M16 SPF1803K RBX101340
Front radius arm to axle bushes, wide 44mm bush SPF0195K NTC6781
Front radius arm to chassis bushes SPF0206K NRC4514
Upper A-frame to chassis bushes, 3/4 UNF SPF0128K NTC1773
Rear trailing arm to chassis bushes SPF0323K NTC9027
Rear trailing arm to axle bushes SPF0129K NTC1772

Professional wheel alignment is recommended after fitting, especially if the original bushes were badly worn.

SuperPro Suspension Bushes

SuperPro polyurethane suspension bushes for Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1, Discovery 2 and Range Rover Classic models. This range includes individual panhard rod and Watts linkage bush kits, plus larger standard-alignment suspension bush kits for rebuilding the main suspension arm bushes. SuperPro bushes are used where you want a firmer, longer-life alternative to standard rubber bushes without turning the vehicle into a harsh or impractical road car. They are a good choice for Land Rovers used on the road, for towing, green laning, overland travel or regular off-road use.

Choosing the correct SuperPro bush kit

The main buying decision is fitment. Defender models use different bush kits depending on age, panhard rod bolt size, front radius arm bush width and upper A-frame bush arrangement. Discovery 2 models use separate kits for the main suspension bushes and the Watts linkage bushes.
  • Defender 200Tdi and earlier: use the early narrow-arm kit where the vehicle has 38mm front radius arm to axle bushes.
  • Defender 300Tdi, early Td5, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic: use the later wide-arm kit with 44mm front radius arm to axle bushes.
  • Late Defender Td5 and early Puma: use the intermediate kit with M16 front panhard rod bushes and the earlier 3/4 UNF upper A-frame bush arrangement.
  • Late Defender Puma: use the later M16 upper A-frame kit from VIN / chassis number 9A766383 onwards.
  • Discovery 2: use the Discovery 2 suspension bush kit for the main radius arm and panhard rod bushes, with the Watts linkage bush kit ordered separately where required.
If your Defender is close to a changeover point, confirm the panhard rod bolt size, front radius arm bush width or upper A-frame bush arrangement before ordering. These differences matter, and the correct kit depends on the vehicle’s suspension hardware rather than just the model name.
