Corteco OEM double-lipped differential flange oil seal (FTC5258G / FTC5258) for Land Rover differential pinion / flange positions. This seal sits at the differential flange interface and helps retain oil around the drive flange.

Fitment note
FTC5258G is used on Land Rover differential flange positions across several models, but the exact axle position depends on vehicle and VIN.
- Defender 90 1983–2006: front axle from VIN LA930435; rear axle from VIN VA102733
- Defender 90 2007-on: rear axle from VIN 7A000001
- Discovery 1 1989–1998: front and rear differential flange positions, depending on VIN
- Discovery 2 1998–2004: front and rear differential flange positions
- Freelander 1: rear differential flange position
- Range Rover Classic: front differential flange position
If the drive flange sealing surface is worn or grooved, replace the flange at the same time. A new seal will not reliably seal against a worn flange.

Corteco is the aftermarket brand of the Freudenberg Group.
Fruedenberg is a company with 170 years of history. Originally founded in 1849 as a leather tannery, it wasn't until 1932 when Freudenburg entered the seal business.
In 1957, Freudenburg first got involved in vibration control technology by engineering and manufacturing shock absorbers and bushings under the name Matalastik. In the same year, Freudenburg entered a partnership with Italian seal manufacturer Corte & Cosso. This partnership is where the Corteco name came from. In fact, the name Corteco in Italian is the term used for sealing ring or rotating shaft.
