Heavy duty steering rods for Discovery 2
This TF255 Terrafirma heavy duty steering bars kit fits Land Rover Discovery 2 models and replaces the standard drag link and track rod with stronger uprated steering bars. It is a direct-fit upgrade for Discovery 2 vehicles where the original steering rods are worn, damaged or vulnerable to being bent off-road.
The standard Discovery 2 steering rods sit low at the front of the vehicle and can be damaged by ruts, rocks, stumps and uneven ground. Even a slight bend can affect tracking, steering feel and tyre wear, so heavy duty steering bars are a practical upgrade for vehicles used for greenlaning, off-road work or rough ground.
The TF255 kit includes the heavy duty drag link, heavy duty track rod, 4 greaseable track rod ends and a steering damper bracket. It is designed to use the original Discovery 2 steering mounting points, so it gives a stronger steering linkage without needing fabrication or custom mounting work.

If you want extra protection for exposed steering joints, this kit can also be used with our polyurethane boots for drop arm and track rod ends.

All parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.
Some products and brands may carry a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover failure caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults elsewhere on the vehicle.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and testing before any repair, replacement or refund is authorised.
