Defender steering drag link / cross rod eye end replacement
This ANR2858 drag link / cross rod eye end is used on right-hand drive Land Rover Defender steering linkage applications where ANR2858 or NRC8231 is specified. It is the eye end section used as part of the Defender steering link assembly.
A worn or damaged steering eye end can cause play in the steering linkage, poor steering feel, knocking from the front end, difficulty setting tracking or visible wear in the joint. If the original eye end is seized, damaged or has excessive movement, replacing it is the correct repair.
Steering linkage parts live in a harsh position under the vehicle, so threads and joints can corrode heavily with age. When replacing this part, check the rest of the steering linkage, track rod ends, drag link and damper mounting points at the same time rather than only changing the most obvious worn part.
After fitting steering linkage components, the wheel alignment / tracking should be checked and adjusted as required. For related parts, see our Defender steering parts category.

Buy with confidence: all new parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 include at least 12 months manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
