Mahle Td5 engine oil filter for Defender and Discovery 2
This Mahle OC298 oil filter fits Td5 engines in Defender and Discovery 2 models. It is the screw-on engine oil filter used as part of routine Td5 servicing and replaces Land Rover part number LPX100590.
Mahle has been one of our standard Td5 oil filter choices for many years. The OC298 filter includes anti-drain back valve and bypass valve features, helping the filter work correctly within the Td5 oil system rather than simply being a generic spin-on filter.
The Td5 also uses a separate centrifugal rotor filter. For a proper oil service, replace this oil filter alongside the MANN ERR6299 Td5 rotor oil filter or the Genuine Land Rover ERR6299 rotor oil filter.
This filter is compatible with our Td5 oil filter spanner for Mahle and MANN filters. If you are carrying out a full service, this filter is also included in our Defender and Discovery 2 TD5 service kit with MANN and MAHLE filters.
