Description
Td5 non-ACE idler bracket and pulley kit
ERR6949 is the Td5 idler bracket and pulley kit used with the non-ACE auxiliary drive belt layout. It is standard fitment on Defender Td5 models without Active Cornering Enhancement, and is commonly used on Discovery 2 Td5 models when deleting or bypassing the ACE hydraulic pump.
The kit replaces the auxiliary drive belt bracket and pulley arrangement at the front of the engine. It is useful if the original bracket is cracked, damaged or corroded, or if a Discovery 2 Td5 is being converted from ACE to the simpler non-ACE belt layout.
When removing the Discovery 2 ACE pump, the auxiliary belt routing changes. Use the correct non-ACE belt for your vehicle: PQS101500 for Td5 with A/C and no ACE, or PQS101490 for Td5 without A/C and no ACE. You can also compare the full Td5 auxiliary belt range.
If fitting this kit after removing a Discovery 2 ACE pump, shorter bolts may be required. See the ERR6949 ACE idler bracket bolt kit. While the belt is off, check the auxiliary tensioner, remaining pulleys and belt condition so the front-end drive runs smoothly after fitting.
