AMC replacement cylinder head for 300TDI engines
This AMC 300TDI cylinder head is for Land Rover 300TDI engines fitted to Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models. It is supplied complete with valves and is used where the original LDF500180 cylinder head is cracked, damaged, corroded or no longer suitable to reuse.
A 300TDI cylinder head is often replaced after overheating, coolant loss, gasket failure, corrosion around sealing faces, or inspection showing the original head is warped or cracked. On an older 300TDI engine, a new AMC head can be a more sensible repair than spending time trying to recover a poor original casting.
Before fitting, check the correct head gasket thickness, cylinder head bolts, injector sealing washers, manifold gaskets, thermostat housing parts and the wider cooling system condition. A cylinder head job is not where you want to find out halfway through that small related parts are missing.
