Description
EBC GD416 Turbo Groove rear brake discs for Defender 90, replacing the standard FTC1381 / LR017953 solid rear discs. Supplied as a pair, the GD Sport design combines EBC’s wide full-sweep grooves and blind dimples with the standard 290mm solid-disc fitment, giving the Defender 90 rear axle a properly matched performance disc rather than simply a plain replacement rotor.
The wide grooves help clear water, dust, gases and debris from the pad contact area while drawing air across the braking surface under harder use. EBC uses blind dimples rather than drilling completely through the disc, and finishes the GD range with a corrosion-resistant coating. GD Sport discs are machined in the UK from R90-approved blanks, with individual metallurgy, dimensional, runout and balance checks forming part of EBC’s production control.

Rear fitment for Defender 90 models using the FTC1381 / LR017953 solid rear brake disc. Defender 110 and 130 rear brakes use a different disc, so GD416 should not be confused with the larger Defender 110/130 rear GD disc used elsewhere in the EBC range.

EBC Brakes is an independently owned specialist brake manufacturer with manufacturing in the UK and USA. The Twinwoods Land Rover range uses EBC GD Sport discs and Yellowstuff performance-road brake pads, selected for Defender and Discovery 2 applications where a more performance-focused disc and pad combination is required. GD Sport discs use EBC's slotted and dimpled braking surface, while Yellowstuff is a higher-friction fast-road pad compound designed to retain strong braking response from cold and resist fade when the brakes are worked harder. Standard UK shipments are normally sent with DPD. UK orders containing oils or fluids are normally sent with DHL where required, because some carriers restrict liquid shipments.

Warranty
Buy with confidence: all new parts sold by Twinwoods 4x4 include at least 12 months manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
