RAVENOL Turbo-C HDC 15W-40 is a high-quality mineral heavy-duty diesel engine oil suited to older Land Rover engines, including many 200TDI and 300TDI service applications where this grade and specification are required.
Modern synthetic oil is not automatically better for every engine. Older Land Rover diesel engines such as the 200TDI and 300TDI were designed around heavier oil grades and older diesel oil specifications. In these engines, a proper 15W-40 mineral heavy-duty diesel oil is often the better choice because it gives suitable hot-running viscosity, works well with older engine clearances and provides the type of detergent diesel-oil specification expected for hard-working older engines.
This makes RAVENOL Turbo-C HDC a sensible service oil for classic Land Rover engines where 15W-40 mineral oil is the correct match. It is also suitable for petrol engines where the vehicle requires a compatible 15W-40 oil.
