Land Rover air suspension compressor inlet filter insert
This replacement foam inlet filter insert is equivalent to Land Rover STC970 and is used in the air suspension compressor intake filter. The original Land Rover application is Range Rover Classic electronic air suspension, but the same insert is also commonly used to renew the foam inlet filter on Discovery 2, Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport air suspension compressor intake housings.
The inlet filter helps stop dust, dirt and loose debris being drawn into the air suspension compressor. Over time the original foam can break down, crumble or disappear completely, leaving the compressor intake poorly protected.
On Discovery 2 models with rear air suspension, the filter is found behind the rear light area. On Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport models, it can be used to replace the deteriorated foam insert in the compressor intake filter housing rather than replacing the complete intake pipe or housing assembly.
