Description
Td5 hydraulic lifter / lash adjuster replacement
This INA hydraulic lifter / lash adjuster fits Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 engines. It is supplied individually and is used in the Td5 valve train to maintain hydraulic lash adjustment.
Worn or damaged lifters can contribute to top-end tapping, noisy valve train operation or poor lash control. Replacement is normally carried out during cylinder head, camshaft or rocker-gear work, or where a specific lifter fault has been identified.
These lifters are supplied with protective caps fitted. The caps must be removed before installation.
If the rocker cover is being removed during the job, check whether you also need the correct rocker cover gasket and sealing parts. For early 10P / 11P engines, see the early Td5 rocker cover gasket. For later 15P / 16P engines, see the late Td5 rocker cover gasket. You may also need the ERR7266 Td5 rocker cover sealing grommet set and FS106307L Td5 rocker cover bolt kit.
