Td5 oil filter housing gasket for Defender and Discovery 2
This oil filter housing gasket fits Land Rover Td5 engines in Defender Td5 and Discovery 2 Td5 models. It seals the joint between the oil filter housing and the engine, and should be replaced when the housing has been removed or disturbed.
Common reasons for replacement include oil leaks around the filter housing area, gasket seepage, or resealing work carried out while dealing with other Td5 engine oil leaks. It is a small gasket, but reusing an old compressed seal can lead to repeat leaks after reassembly.
Clean the mating faces carefully before fitting and check the surrounding area for other possible oil leak sources while access is available, especially on older Td5 engines where several nearby seals and joints can weep.

Some products and brands may include a longer warranty period where this is provided by the manufacturer. Where applicable, this will normally be stated on the individual product page or covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. For certain components, proof of professional fitment may be required.
Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
