Defender heater matrix with straight pipes
This Defender heater matrix is for vehicles using the straight horizontal pipe arrangement. It is the matrix you need when the coolant pipes leave the heater core in a straight line across the heater box, rather than turning sharply through 90 degrees.
The pipe layout matters because Defender heater matrices are not all the same. Match UTP1725 to the straight-pipe heater matrix layout and use the VIN information in the Fitment tab to confirm the application before ordering.
Typical reasons for replacement include coolant smell inside the cab, damp carpets (posh Defenders only!) or coolant around the heater box, misting inside the windscreen, poor heater output, or visible leakage from the heater matrix.

Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover misuse, incorrect fitting, competition use unless stated, contamination, modification, damage during installation, normal wear and tear, or failure caused by an unrelated vehicle fault. Warranty claims may require the part to be returned for inspection and/or supplier testing before the claim is accepted. Any advance replacement is discretionary.
Warranty remedies relate to the part itself, meaning repair or replacement, or refund if those are not possible. Warranty does not cover labour, removal or refitting, diagnostics, consumables, travel or other incidental costs.
